Hi, I'm from India. I have changed the clutch kit and gear oil in 2010 GP 1.4L Petrol last week. The both things are bought from FIAT shop and did replaced with local service center as the Fiat service center is far away from my home. After this, clutch pedal became very hard to push and release. The clutch bite point is very close to the floor and it makes me to push hardly and release it slowly as it is kicking back. I am sure this is not a case before changing it to new clutch kit. Comparatively, the clutch pedal in petrol cars are lighter than diesel cars but my clutch pedal is way harder than diesel one. This causing me lot of pain in leg. However, the gear shift is smoother than earlier.
What could be the problem? What should I do now?
I am hesitating to mess up with pedal adjustment with new clutch kit!.
Will bleeding the clutch help? If yes, do I have to bleed master and slave cylinders? How to bleed clutch in Grande Punto petrol version would be great.
Thanks.
