Any ideas where the best place is for a custom remap will be fitting fmic and vl38 turbo over the weekend currently has a cat back powerflow exhaust and K&N induction kit fitted. Spoke to a company today told them what the car would have on it and they quoted the same figures a standard T-jet would get with just a remap and said if i got a decat they could go for more power, is the cat really that restrictive that a standard one with just a decat and remap would make more power than mine? Or do they sound like another company that dont really know what they are talking about? ive spoke to a few that seem a bit clueless so far the only company that have filled me with confidence is RSTuning in Leeds

Just a heads if they haven't allready informed you a decat would make your car fail a mot and also possibly affect insurance cover

Thanks Chris i am aware of that which is the reason i didnt want to go for a decat plus i dont want it too loud but if it is so restrictive then its something for me to consider.

I've heard good things about them too I sent an email earlier today so waiting for a response. Not put new springs or driveshaft on yet hopefully doing it all Saturday doubt im going to get all that done and 2 rear shocks plus fmic and turbo depends how smoothly things go could be a late one in the garage

Spoke to Tony today at tune4performance nice guy and very helpful, so once ive fitted everything will be travelling down to him for a remap. After speaking to him im now considering going for a TD04 turbo.
