Another scenario you can try is when you drive without wearing a seatbelt (don't go far or fast!), when I do that even for moving the car a few meters into a new parking space I get a very loud series of beeps.

From what you say, it sounds like you're getting no "beep" in any scenario except when reversing. So if what Bernie says about there only being one buzzer/beeper (which must be working), then it must a sensor or relay issue

I get a very loud series of beep too when I drive without the seatbelt. If it's a sensor or relay issue, I really don't know what can I do to fix it :(

Problem solved! :)

I disconnected the car battery for about 10min and when I replaced it, the beeper worked!

I don't know why, but it was certainly an electronic issue and this manipulation may have reset it to default.

Thank you everyone for the help! (y)

Be aware that those cheap OBD cables are not always trouble free; they might connect to the engine ECU but not to the other CAN bus (internal termination error) and you'll have to modify the interface.
The MES free software will not allow you to do much, actually almost nothing, the full lifetime version is 50£.
I'd buy everything from the same vendor so I'd have a single interlocutor in case of problem.
Have a look here: https://www.gendan.co.uk/product_FESCAN.html

If someone here helped You fix -or better, understand- your issue, hit the thanks icon @ bottom right corner, it's free and makes us feel helpy ;-)

Completely agree with all Bernie says here. I bought from Gendan and have had considerable - Free - ongoing support from a chap there called Grant. Very good people to deal with.

I downloaded the free version when I was thinking of buying and I found the great advantage in doing that was to run it in simulation mode where I could get quite a good idea of what I might be able to do with it. If you think you are going to run the free version with a cheapie interface off the internet and get great functionality you'll be disappointed though. Once you pay the licencing fee though it all comes very much alive!

The only thing i had any trouble with was on the initial integration with the interface. I am not good with computers so didn't understand about assigning com ports and interface speeds. Took me a couple of goes (I got very despondent first time round) but after rereading the instructions which Gendan include with it I got it working and it's been wonderful ever since! As they say, in the last resort READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!
