Hi everyone! Complete newbie here.
My stepdad got me a 2006 semi-automatic Grande Punto for my 18th which i absolutely ADORE.
However theres a few things i have got some questions about, I have searched and searched and cant find anything on it.
Last week it began to not drive in Auto the gear stick isnt locked or anything I can still move it to the left as usual but it just won't shift into AUto. I dont have any lights flashing to indicate a problem nor is there a message on my dashboard about something being wrong. Has ayone experienced this and could help me fix this problem?
Also I've noticed that when the car is off every three or so minutes it will make a single beep reardless of whether doors are open, closed, locked or unlocked will this drain my battery?
And lastly has anyone ever changed their spekers the bass in mine seems to be stuffed and id love to be able to listen to the radio without it sounding ike it comes out of a tin can.
Thank you in advamce!

Hi (who?) and welcome on board !

The selector left position is one of the 3 instable ones: it toggles between Manual and Auto modes, then returns to Tip position. Internally the position is detected by means of Hall effect (magnetic) sensors that sends the signal to the Dualogic controller. You can measure what signal is sent from the selector lever ...

No clue about the beeps, if you want to be sure you'll have to measure what current is drained off the battery ...

Regarding the speaker you may "simply" have a broken wire in the loom, usually at the rubber flex @ door hinge. But if you have to replace the speaker, be aware they are riveted so you'd have to drill the rivets off for removal ...

BRs, Bernie
