Hi guys, after having my crank sensor replaced a while back the car still stalls when idle. I've tried cleaning the throttle body, checking the crank sensor connection.

The car (1.4 8v) doesn't stutter the revs just drop ever so slightly until it cuts out. You can also hear every so many seconds the revs are reduced and then return to normal until it finally cuts out
If anyone has any idea what it may be?

Thanks,
Jordan

I have tried replacing the map sensor and just decided to live with it as I don't drive it much.
But after scanning with OBD2 I discovered the c1002 fault - could this be causing any kind of cut out? I've also managed to cut the engine out more often at idle if I put my full beams on.

Could this be a battery issue?

I think the C1002 fault relates to the steering, but it can be a steering issue due to power failure, such as bad battery or alternator.

Have you got a multimeter? Maybe take a reading on the battery voltage with car off, and also again with it running.

With car turned off, a decent battery should read somewhere around 12.5v and with it running and charging, should be up around 14v
