Where to get constant 12V for GPS tracker unit?

Hi forum!

Recently got a little GPS tracker unit. It works with a SIM-card so I just have to make a call to the GPS and it will text me back coordinates or link to Google maps (depending on the setup).

This model is without battery and has to be connected to a constant 12V source to work. With constant I mean a 12V that is always on (as long as the battery is connected).

In case of my car getting stolen I think it would be a bad idea to connect it to these obvious points:
*Ignition (wires might get cut here).
*Radio (if radio is pulled out for easy money they might cut the wires instead of pulling the plug).
*Under the hood (the GPS tracker is waterproof but I would prefer it inside the cabin somewhere.

Of course, withouht a internal battery in the GPS unit, I will have to rely on that those bastards doesn't disconnect the battery. My thoughts are that a GP isn't normally expensive enough for people to think that it might be under GPS surveillance

When I get home later I will start browsing through Haynes electric section - maybe someone has a great idea until then?

Where to get constant 12V for GPS tracker unit?

Fuse tap in the glovebox and install it underneath the dashboard hidden away? I have a fuse tap for my dash cam so itíll use parking mode (time lapse) when itís parked up, and itís tapped from the interior lights fuse (I have LED lights and there isnít much current draw from the dash cam).
Thanks MrMogensen thanked for this post

One of the EOBD pins on the connector has constant +12V. Also quite easy to get access to.

Iím a forum newbie so Iím not allowed to add links yet, but if you Google ĎAutoleads Mini Blfe Add-A-Fuse youíll see what I mean.

And yes, pop the cover off the fuse box and this is the fuse youíll be looking for, thatís the one for the interior lights and what Iíve tapped off of for my camera.
