Dear All,

Any suggestions, kindly help me.

so the car moves as if one gear was engaged ?
Would the engine stal if you release the clutch (in neutral) with hand brake on ?

Sounds like they stripped the gear box to cure the synchro on 2nd and didn't do a good repair. Do all the gears feel normal? Can you get reverse or does it grind when going in?

Yes, after repair I drove the vehicle all the gears are going fine. But the advisor said once he faced this issue like when in neutral the vehicle is moving.

As the vehicle is in service station I didn't checked the reverse.

Thanks for your response.

The post is actually unclear (at best), what happens EXACTLY ??

Ok let's try it differently …

- it moves in neutral: can you drive it normally afterward (shift gears) ?
- it moves in neutral: what happens when you crank the engine with clutch released ?
- it moves in neutral: what happens when you crank the engine witch clutch pressed ?
- do you feel any resistance @ the gear stick or is it like rubber ?
- does the engine stal if you release the clutch with hand-brake on ?

Cheers, Bernie

Sorry for the delay. Finally it got repaired. The advisor explained like each gear will be placed on a ball it seems. So one among them didn't sit properly that's the reason which causing body movement.

I thank you for all your support.

Finally, my Fiat is back[emoji4] .

Have they opened the gearbox once again or was it in the selection mechanism ?
Anyway thanks for the update but next time try to be more precise ;-)

Yes, they opened the gearbox and performed. As I was not in the real scene whatever the service advisor informed I posted here. I will ensure to provide better information from now.[emoji4]
