Hi all , I have an 08 t jet , my 2 front windows are working intermittently , when they don't work I can hear a clicking in both doors when I work the switches , anyone any ideas or had the same issue ?? Thanks , Dave

I've had a similar problem recently, though my passenger window has now stopped opening altogether from both door switches. Power is going to the switches but been advised by a mechanic it needs a new motor for passenger door only. Any idea of cost and where I can source one, apologies for hijacking this post!

My passenger side currently works off both switches but the driver's door is still just clicking , I removed the wiring boot and found 2 wires with the insulation broke but the wires were fine , not sure if they were for the window anyway , need to find out the colours of the window motor wires tbh

Hi again , been doing some more research and apparently if both the switches in the driver's door are lit up then they are getting power of which they both are and when pressing the driver's switch I still get a clicking which I assume it's getting power and has an earth ??

Ain't any relay in the doors for the lifting motor so the click you hear is probably the motor trying to move the lifting cable. Only the high trim (whatever it means) driver's switch handle has two buil-in relays ...

I've heard there's a control unit in the door , but I might be wrong , tht that might be the clicking noise

There is NO control unit in the door, it's built in the driver's switch panel, only for high trim level...

Bernie.
Do you know what added features it drives?
Rear windows?
Elec roof?

Hi Charlie,

with the low trim one have to keep the switch toggled to raise/lower the window(s) while with the high trim if you toggle between 60 and 300msec it will still be manual but if toggle is > 300msec it will keep on raising/lowering until it hits the end stop or a pinch point with force higher than 7 - 8 kg.
There is also the rear Windows command and open/close from the remote !
Sun roof has a dedicated switch near the front courtesy light …

Well it's still working lol if it stops again I'll remove the door card and go from there , cheers for all your help
