Recently bought a 2007 Grande Punto, don't have a lot of money but I'd like it to look nice and perform well. Any starting modifications I can do which won't drain the bank?

Chassis brace will improve handling. As I said in a similar post theres not many cheap mods that will give a lot of power.

GSR intake would be good, other than that just keep it well services using good quality parts and oil.

If it was a diesel (you didn't said what engine) You might add a "performance box" that actually DO Something, way-off the 30% power increase they claim but definitely some improvement …
