Question Connecting Car To MultiECUScan

Short version:

Can anyone recommend an ELM327 USB connector for my laptop please?

P.S. I already have all the coloured adaptors, just need the connector.

Longer version:

I bout a VAG/KKL connector to use with multiecuscan only belatedly to discover it does not support the GP. DOH!

However due to a shipping mix up the seller refunded me, so I'm not out of pocket and I have all 6 coloured adapters to boot.

Just need a decent ELM connector now and I'm away.

Thanks,

Thomas

I'm thinking that this might be a good shout:

Re: Connecting Car To MultiECUScan

Cannot see the link..

But an ELM from Gendan should be fine.

Re: Connecting Car To MultiECUScan

This is what the spec is:

About the OBDLink SX interface

Features the new STN1110 chip

The STN1110 chip supports the full ELM327 command set and an extended command set adding many enhanced features

The STN1110 is up to 10 times faster than the ELM327 chip

4 times as much flash memory as ELM327 chip

Over 5 times the RAM of the ELM327 chip

The STN1110 is Firmware updateable while the ELM327 requires the chip to be replaced with each new version

Re: Connecting Car To MultiECUScan

Here are a couple of ELM327s on eBay:

ELM OBD2 CAN FIAT ALFA DIAGNOSTIC LEAD FOR use with MULTIECUSCAN - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/223147151416

Compatible Fiat Alfa Lancia diagnostic ELM 327 OBD2 interface fits Multiecuscan - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/281166266540

ELM 327 MODIFIED DIAGNOSTIC CABLE for use with MULTIECUSCAN FIAT ALFA LANCIA - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/301626849586

All from the same seller (business address), 14.95, 15.95 and 16.95 respectively.

I bought one from this seller about 2 years ago, though not the same listing (mine was a bundle including additional cables). Works fine.

In the interests of balance here are a couple from another UK seller:

New ALFA FIAT DIAGNOSTIC CABLE ELM OBD2 CAN ECU MODIFIED For Multiecuscan - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/272718545703

ELM MODIFIED DIAGNOSTIC CABLE FIAT ALFA LANCIA AIRBAG ABS CAN MULTIECUSCAN - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/263143936422

14.99 and 17.99 respectively.

Re: Connecting Car To MultiECUScan

Ordered the Gendan OBDSXLink. Emailed them and I've got a bundle with a multi ECU scan and licence coming.

Already got all 6 adaptors so I should be up and running soon.
