Following on from a previous thread I replaced my power steering unit with a reconditioned model from ECU Testing.

It all seems to be working fine, however I have a power steering light on the dash.

Will this clear in its own good time? I can't decide if its a hangover from the old unit, or a fault with the new one.

I've downloaded the multiecu software onto my laptop.

Would this connector work to check for any codes?

Hi Thomas,

the power steering ECU should be accessible directly thru an ELM327 interface, however you'd need an adapter ( #3 or "Yellow") in order to perform prpxy alignment that may be requested if you replaced the PS-ECU … Is your odometer flashing ?
Anyway, this adapter is a must if you want to access other ECU's on the car !
