I would like to put a remote entry system to my 3-door Punto. What (cheap system from Ebay) would be good and easy to install? I do not need light signals for opening and closing doors but just open and close doors and boot. It is annoying to first go in and then press button inside to open boot.

I have seen Hawk system mentioned in forum. Would that be a good choice? Or some other system?

Hi Jarmot, if you want to make it very cheap (and easy), you'd only have the boot opener. You only need to get a relay contact in // with the panel button. You could use Something like this: (sorry for the long URL)

If you car has already a centralized locking system without remote (all doors unlock from driver's one), then you could use a two channels remote and shunt the lock buton the same way.
If not, you'll have to install motorized locks, run wires thru door hinges, which is not the funniest thing to do ...

Be aware that you should use impulse and not permanent shunt … The command sequence would then be ON (> 0.3s) and OFF.

Google for 2 channel remote and you'll find stuff like this:

I suspect a previous owner has lost the remote one, so the OP likely only has the spare non-remote one.

That indeed might be the case. When I bought the car there were only one key. I bought a second one from a key shop. I will ask from Fiat dealer tomorrow if there is a remote control unit already in car and how much new remote key will cost.

Thank you for this idea :)

I called Fiat dealer and they said that there is no remote control installed my Punto. So it seems that Hawk system it will be then if it is relative easy to install. In forum, there is Hawk installation guide to Punto Mk2. Will it do also to Grande Punto?

Still waiting for Hawk to arrive...

Will I connect Hawk lock/unlock wires to these E17 and E18 wires?

Does anybody have a picture of connector pin order? I just can't find it from eLearning.

Why the boot lock wire is marked different (light grey) than other wires?

Forget previous picture. I just finally figured out how to make connections. I wrote a short guide to Grande Punto guides -section.
