Will take a lot to fire then when warm will not fire at all will bump... new crank sensor ne plugs new starter motor new bat new map sensor new coil pack help plz

Hi Danny and welcome on board !

- have you got any chance to scan the ECU for possible error(s) ?
- You mentionned crank sensor, how about the timing one ?
- Is the temp Indicator showing correct values ?
- Is the car running ok once started ?

First would be to spend some pounds on MES and a ELM327 reader, it will help solving your issue and the potential future ones …

Right I was not aware of the timing sensor I'll look into that next.... only fault that comes up is crank position sensor ... could you tel me where about the timing sensor is.....
When it fires up it dose run a bit crap like it's missing

Then it's probably the culprit, the Bottom sensor you already replaced will compute the TDC by detecting when all 4 pistons are in mid travel, while the timing sensor will detect WHICH cylinder is in its compression stroke (thus injection & ignition)

Here are some stuff to help locate it … We're looking for K047 and #13

I dissconected the batt for one hour fired it and it fired on second crank .... a lot better but this morning it took ages to start....... the crank pos Sen is not Bosch I got it from euro car parts could this be a cheap **** one causing the problem ..... thanks again

Sounds like some improvement no ?
What is your level about checking electrical devices such as sensors ?
When replacing the RPM/TDC sensor (crankshaft) you HAVE TO run the learning procedure (see alttached) !

That's is only part of what I have to do what is the full learning procedure

This problem is still here.... do you need to code the crankshaft position sensor to the car.... can some one tel me how to do the relearn procedure

It's says crank position sensor so if got one but if been told it has to be coded to the car or do the ((relearn procedure)) anyone how do i do relearn!!!

In post #11 they say " start the engine with temp > 20°C and let iddle 10sec " I'm not aware of another learning procedure ...

edit: they're a little bit more talkative in 1.4 8V sction of e-learn, you should NOT press the Accelerator !!
