Got an 06 plate dynamic 1.4 8v. 4dr. Key will only lock and unlock the door I open or lock. Is this right as I thought it would also work the central locking on all four doors.Its got the square key with 3 remote buttons.cheers

The fob buttons work the central locking,the key in the lock won't work the central locking. Took panel of and found three very thin wires,and three thicker wires. So think the key should work the central locking,why else have six wires. Just need someone to confirm turning key in locks works central locking from both front door locks.

Just checked live on my 2009 1.3mjt:

Central locking opens/closes all doors from the driver door, but only opens all from the passenger side, the driver's door would unlock but NOT lock ...

Thanks for the reply,will look into it further,now I know there's a fault. One thing strange,I also have a 1.3 on a 09 plate but it's only got a key barrel in the driver's door,and you have two. I thought it was cost cutting,or should my 1.3 also have key barrels in both front doors?? Any one else only got one key barrel??

I have a 2006 GP 130 1.9 3 door. Central locking seems to work fine with the fob electrically, but I cannot seem to unlock the car using the actual key: the key goes in but will not turn. I have used WD40 but do not want to break anything. perhaps the key has never been used to lock/unlock and it is all just from lack of use ? It is sometimes useful to lock the car without the alarm being activated ie very strong winds etc and also to save the battery life as I do not use the car for weeks at a time. Any thoughts welcome !
