Hello everyone,

After installing Cruise Control feature on my Grande Punto, my rear doors stopped notifying me at the instrument cluster when they are open and car in motion. I don't know if this is due to defective contacts or something simmilar.

I have checked elearn but I don't know what wires are for notifying Body Computer if they are opened or closed, or what body computer connector is for that stuff.

Can somebody help me? Thanks!

Greetings!

Hola !

I'd say your issue is related to the cruise control transplant you made ;-)

The switch is located in the lock and directly connects to the body computer. Is your courtesy light lighting when you open the rear door(s) ?

Hi Bernie!

Courtesy lights don't turn on, even if you first open front doors, you open rear, and then close front doors, while you are searching at back seats a bag or something behind drivers seat, they turn off like if you have all doors closed.

An interesting thing that I found is that even happening this, the car knows when rear doors are open and close, because if you use AlfaOBD and you choose "Read System Status" on Body Computer diagnosis, when rear doors are closed, it says that it is closed, and when they are open, it says that they are open, so communication between rear doors and body computer is OK.

The only problem is with the rear doors, front doors turn on the courtesy lights and door open icon on cluster and message on display is shown, the same with trunk, but rear doors...not :(

I don't know if it is a blown fuse of something like that, but I think that the four doors use the same fuse, am I right?

Regards,
Julio.
