Boost Regulator Vacuum Hose

Hey all,

Been having an engine issue. Think I've pinpointed it to this...

I don't need to replace the whole unit - does anyone know where I can pick up a new vacuum?

Thanks!

Re: Boost Regulator Vacuum Hose

That is not a vacuum hose. it only sees boost. I say this because at that diameter pretty much any hose can cope with the small 1.3-2 bar boost.
You need to measure the diameter then Ebay => xmm silicone vacum/boost hose.

OR:
Just cut off 2 cm of the hose you have, then stick it back on; reuse the clamp. takes 2 minutes. OEM quality!

Zip-tie the boost controller solenoid to something. This is probably the reason why the hose split.

Thanks for that! I've got 3mm washer tubing that I use for my boost gauge at home...

Will this be okay?

It doesn't move too much, I think it's just happened over time.

The car over boosts at about 22psi...

Re: Boost Regulator Vacuum Hose

Remove from turbo, cut bad part, reinstall, jubilee-clip (no tie-rap: too weak) and you're done. And definitely attach the valve somehow !

Hi,
I came across this type of tube you have, that someone previously installed,
I wouldn't recommend this,
Like mine before replacing, the tube gets too hot and soft, so when pulling a vacuum, the tube would collapse/squeeze,go get some 4mm high heat resistant tube, should only be a few bucks from your local hardware store,
I'll get a photo if you would like
