Hi all,

Previously made a post about this and also had a browse.

Having trouble getting the resistor out as my heating isn't working.. However upon inspection it wouldn't appear that mine has any signs of melting or having issue.

Here's the plug with no apparent signs of burning, however I did notice there's a missing wire? Is this to do with the fact I have AC?

The current resistor itself looks fine?? No burn marks or anything - however there's no screw / bolt which is funny.

I can't seem to pinch the clips and slide it to the left. Is that all that's needed? - I wondered if there was a sheered bolt inside but it wouldn't appear that there is after taking photos.

I need this bloody heating working because my windscreen is frozen solid outside and dripping on the inside :(

I've seen many tutorials online but would be grateful for some advice. Ife tried pushing wires in and getting the heating to work but had no luck..

I could be wrong BUT I thought the resistor was the part that enabled the differing fan speeds to work....

If the fan itself doesnt work thats usually the culprit...

It'd seem you're correct as speed 4 bypasses the resistor.

I've checked the old fuse which seemed to be ruined. Replaced it and had no luck.

The old resistor came out and seemed to be okay.

The new one went in.

Still doesn't work though. I'm guessing it's either the fan itself or the switch as sometimes turning the fan switch will turn the left side bulb out behind the heater controls which leads me to believe it could be a loose connection - I really don't want to have to take the whole dash apart to find out though..

To be fair if you have eliminated the resistor then its not that big of a job to remove the fan and/or the facia panel...at some point your going to have to bite the bullet..

Have you seen the guides?...

Does the fan work at all?..
