Sorry to pester again lol. When you originally removed the drain to work on it. Was it simply pull it out? As I don't want to yank on it and rip it. Or was it glued down in placed and you had to break a seal. And then lastly did you put any sealer on it once you put it back in modified?

I deformed it by pushing one side in and then it slid down and took it out the bottom, no sealant on removal and non used when refitting, it is like a rubber grommet so has a flange above and below the metal that’s all that holds it. I refitted from above, slid it in and ensured the bottom flange dropped through the metal work, then routed the hose to below the steering rack.

Hey guys well just to let you know I finally had some time to attempt moimo's drain and seems to work a treat (well sort of). Picture 1: my first attempt but my drain is more flared and I taped it up this way only for it not to fit back into the hole later. So I had to start again and pictures 2,3,4,5 so that I had to use part of a green hose connector to make it more rounded and then tape it up, I then added hot glue inside the drain around the edges to prevent leaks and then for added safety tied the garden hose up with some thermal insulation tape. Big thanks to everyone who helped me find my drains etc etc much appreciated and I feel I have prevented a costly repair in future

While you where at it, have you cleaned/greased the wiper's mechanic ??

Not t9 sure what u mean the wipers mechanic? Do u mean the joints of the wiper.linkages?

No I never actually did that. But I will next.time as.i have a coil spring to change next

What time of grease would you use on these linkages? Silicone. White lithium, multipurpose grease?
