This was not long after fitting suspension, settled a little after pic was taken. Not super low but low enough to have to be very careful I've those modular black and yellow speed bumps.

Cheers

Check it is actually the correct driveshaft that is fitted.

Only time I've come across this before, it turned out to be a driveshaft for a different spec of the same car, which was about 10mm shorter but otherwise looked the same. Easily done if parts have been sourced from a breakers in the past.

Lowering is essentially just permently compressing the suspension a bit, unless you go beyond the design limits of suspension travel, the driveshafts should stay in place, just as if you hit a big bump and bottomed the suspension.

Hi All,

Rescue Bumblebee is a go! I've been able to source a second hand set of driveshafts from a 2009 model at 75k miles. Both are going to be replaced to play it safe...I plan to adjust the ride height to a standard height and then drop by a more sensible height in the hope it'll be okay...

Two questions:
  • What is the easiest way to restore the ride height back to 'standard'?
  • How would I then accurately drop the ride height by 20mm, for example?

Thanks in advance..

Just get some with a similar model to measure the height from the ground to the top of the wheel arch (front and rear)

They adjust your coilovers to get the same so you are "standard".

or adjust your coilovers to be 20cm lower.
