Hi at FiatForum

Have a strange Issue, which I hope Someone can give me an Advice on.

Grande Punto 1.3 JTDM 2008

a) No Issues until Battery died.
b) Have changed the Battery to a new fully charged
c) When turning on the Ignition, it shows the errorcode P0520: Oilpressure Switch (MultiEcuScan)
d) Deleted the error-codes
e) When trying to start the engine, nothing happens (even not a click from the starter-selenoid), and the errorcode P0520 shows up again.
f) Same happens everytime efter deleting the errors, and I try to start the engine.
g) Have tried to ground the wire to the Oilpressure switch, still the same Issue.

So at the time being, it is not possible to start/rotate the engine

Thank You in advance

What's the resistance of the positive and negative feed to the sensor. To eliminate a wiring issues?
I assume the failure to start is the ECU won't start when it doesn't know the oil pressure to prevent you destroying your engine. Could be a faulty sensor which died with very poor timing

Thanks for Your Advices.

Seemed to be a broken Earth-Cable from Chassis to Gearbox.

Problem Solved :)
