I'm 99% that Corsa shocks will fit however the damping rate may be different. I'm fairly sure Tjet uses a specific shock too, be worth checking eper. I put bilstein on mine not long after I bought it as the suspension felt tired.

Hey Ben mate. Do you remember where your purchased your Bilston shocks from and how do you rate them?
 
Hey guys. Changing my shocks and what a nightmare I'm almost done but issue I have noticed is top nut is raised out. I've done a video showing what I mean. Could do with thoughts please. [ame]https://youtu.be/mDfC_tS_CoQ[/ame]
 
These don't clamp the strut, so a gap is normal. Search for similar threads on Punto and Grande and there will be more pics.

The top mount is held by the vehicle weight. The top washer is only to stop it dropping too far when you pop over a big bump too quick, or when you jack the car up. If you look at the other side, there is a gap there too. The shorter thread is probably just the new strut being shorter, as the extra thread is not necessary.

Should be nothing to worry about, but do the other side before you drive it. An imbalance will affect handling.

Thanks bill mate. Yeah I will be doing other side but had to do this side for mot. And didn't want to risk doing oher side and having troubles getting it off and then mot deadline runs out. Been a nightmare getting it off due to hex key inside the strut was rusted out and typical vice grips was just not working lol.
