Hi all,
Now that my GP's woes are fixed and it is happily running again, I am finally thinking about improving the looks on it. Firstly, I am wanting to colour match a few parts (mirror caps, and door handles) as with mine being the active, it has those awful black plastic handles .
I have bought a can of 598/a (my paint code) spray paint of eBay and will get experimenting this weekend starting with the mirrors.
The advice I need is regarding the side bumper strips.
In order to smooth out the appearance of the car, I want to remove them, but I am almost certain the paint beneath will be a different colour - as when I replaced the rear badge, there was a noticeable change to the rest of the boot where the badge sat. If this is the case when I remove the strips, I am thinking about painting them to match the car. Will these paint 'well'? I don't think they are rubber, could be wrong, so I am hoping they will paint like any other bit of plastic would.
Also, here's a picture of the car in it's current form... any mod ideas are appreciated!
Thanks
