Afternoon all,

Mind wandering as it does on a Monday afternoon I began to dream up some half a*sed plan in my head and really just wanted some feedback from those that may have done it themselves.

I drive a GP Sporting 1.9 MJ and I need to replace my 90 degree pipe between the turbo and intercooler, as it has almost worn through where it's been rubbing on a nearby vacuum hose (probably since new).

I've found Fluro-Lined hoses from Auto Silicone Hoses . com, after reading on here and variously online, that these are required due to the presence of oil vapour within the pipework, which would leech through and damage standard silicone hoses. I'd like to ideally change all the hoses between the turbo and inlet (4 nr, as per the Samco kit) but without the huge expense (nearly £200 for the Samco kit).

My question is, if I were to install an oil catch can and divert the breather hose into it before back into the inlet system, would this mean I could get away with non-fluro lined silicone hoses? As there would be negligible oil vapour in the inlet system, I would have thought?

I know there's been a few GP MJ owners that have played around with custom pipework and the like, but they seem to have left the fold so can't really ask them!

Thanks in advance!

Dan
