Does anyone know what is involved in coding injectors on the T-Jet?

I'm getting some 380cc Bosch for a TD04L upgrade and intend to do the work myself. I'm presuming, possibly slightly naively, that I use the appropriate bit of MES and enter the codes from new injectors one by one and it'll all be fine?

Also, once coded will my car run on these OK for a short while pre mapping?

Final thing isn't he rail for these, I've heard from some sources that you only need injectors and from others that the rail from esseesse must also be user?
