Other head scratch , my pedal it works fine but the error number pop up said 'Throttle Position Sensor/Switch (TPS) A Circuit Malfunction' do this cause the rough idle when it first start in cold become very shake till it becomes warm less shake but not smooth what it should be. Is the pedal repairable?

1.3 Multijet 75 bhp year 2006, today the engine still not smooth at idle. Recently had new two rubber mount hold the engine, fuel filter, oil change plus oil filter, new glow plugs so it can't be fault those above change. the mileage is 119,000 miles (191511km). The timing chain do not make any noise so I think it is the pedal problem is cause the engine vibrate erratic? 950rpm up to 970rpm drop back to 950rpm repeat till it warm up.

Would it be easy take it off the pedal or it is big job?

thanks

The rpm figures by themselves are ok, it's never going to be 100% stable at idle (at most the ECU will lie to your rpm gauge )

But coupled with the pedal error,,.. that could be retarded.
What i suggest is making a MES graph..of the pedal.. you will easily see there the pedal potentiometers are failing.
They are going to fail only in certain parts.. not all the way.... should be visible on a graph.. when you have a nice constant line..then it drops off for a short distance then continues the original line.

Removing the pedal should be a matter of unplugging a connector then 1-2 screws (possibly torx).
But i don't recommend just replacing the part, make sure it is actually at fault.
Would be ok if you can test with another good pedal, if you have access to another...
