Could be as simple as a Phoenic wheel learn not being done when the cambelt was changed.

Also have you checked the condition of the replacement plugs and HT leads?

Last thought damp in the fuses/wiring to the ECU

Not heard of thisphoenic wheel learn, Ill give that one ago :)
Haven't checked the leads and plugs just yet and not tried for dampness

But will certainly give them a look at tonight

I just finished reading a thread on a French forum where the Poster was describing a very similar issue and where after few months of trials and errors (even fitted an ECU Tuning test unit) the solution had been to replace the ECU by a 2nd hand virginized one... Plugs, leads, earthings, contact cleaning, sensor replacement, all had been done before with some improvement but never the final fix.

Regards, Bernie

Perhaps was it ECU Tuning the French Guy was talking about ??

Rgds, Bernie
