I have an issue with my 56 plate 1.2 grande put to. Seems to jam when trying to select gears. This happens through 1-5 reverse seems OK. Doesn't grind and clutch feels fine at the pedal.The temperature doesn't seem to affect it. It also seems to be random as to when it will do this but somewhat more often than not. I don't want to fire it into a garage to be told bull****.

Any help here would be great.

Cables most probably ... U have to check for worn coupling either sides: top (around) of gearbox and below (under the car) gear lever. Watch also for lose bracket(s)

Do they select nicely when the engine isn't running? If so, I agree with Bernie. Gear cable adjustment. Easy to do, I think, but I don't have the car here to remind me.

The gears don't tend to change regardless of how long the car has been running. I will have look at the cables this week.

Assume you have checked the oil level?
