Hi all, I recently attempted to change the gearbox oil (not the selespeed oil) and when I removed the drain bolt there was only about 2-3 tablespoons worth of oil that came out and I had all 4 wheels raised off the ground and level, I was confused on why there was such a small amount of oil that came out and so I needed the car to commute so I put the drain plug bolt back in from underneath the gearbox and topped up the gearbox oil until it came out of the oil level allen bolt and I only added a very small amount of oil before it started to leak back Out.

My questions are why there's only a very small amount of oil coming out of the gearbox drain plug and why it won't take hardly any oil back in, I'm sure I've seen that they supposed to take 1.5 litres of oil?

All help is much appreciated, thanks.

Surely the drain is an allen stud as well! Did you take out an ordinary bolt?
