Hi got an 07 grande punto

Couple of issues.

The mileage counter is flashing...
I've tried a few proximity alignments with MES and no joy...
I've also got a HATCHBACK OPEN message but it's shut.
There's no switch other than the release mechanism of which I've changed to no avail...
Battery seems good but I'll swap for a new 1 tomoz to rule it out...
Any other suggestions.?

Check it in MES. If someone has swapped the clock (or the ECU) for a lower/higher mileage one it will flash. AFAIK you can "correct" the odo mileage upwards in MES to match the ECU.
Not sure if you can adjust the ECU mileage upwards if clock is higher.
Pretty sure you can't adjust either downwards.

To be honest, it sounds like there is a wiring fault, which is preventing you from completing a Proxi.

As it mentions the boot is open (which isn't), there could be broken or chafed wiring that is coming into contact with a canbus wire causing you issues.

Have a look at the wiring loom from the body to the boot door. The break usually happens inside the rubber wiring cover/channel between them. If there's a break/damage, i'm willing to bet that repairing this will solve the Proxi alignment issue.

I get what your saying... but it says proxy complete successful each time I've done it..
Retry attempts give a warning of not requiring it doing as it's properly aligned.

Is there a NODE in boot as in can check it's stated as not present
