Hi guys, starting from about a week ago I started hearing a noise coming from when I turned the steering wheel, over the course of yesterday and a fair bit of driving, the noise seemed to get a lot worse. My mechanic is enjoying his time is budapest so won't be back until next week. Was just wondering where this noise could be coming from and if i would expect to see a big cost, also the noise seems to be coming from the left side of the car. Both mine do that and the garage told me it will not damage anything by leaving them. Ive left them for over 2 years now.

You can spray WD40 onto the top of the mound through the plastic at the base of your window and it will work in and make it less noisy.

You can also put your hand on the spring and turn the wheel to feel it clunking around as it turns.
