Hi all,
First thread so please bare with me if I'm not doing something right. I have had a good search about but couldn't find the exact thing hence the new thread. I drive a Grande Punto 1.4 Turbo as my daily. Its a workhorse doing on average 1000 miles weekly (sometimes more sometimes less). I have had an issue since the summer where it just feels like something is "dragging" or "choking" the engine. Its hard to describe. If you lift of it's like you have the breaks slightly on- but if you dip the clutch the car rolls fine with no resistance. (Thought it was a binding brake to begin with). If you then lift the clutch out its like hitting a wall. There is something wrong under the bonnet that I just can't figure out. I've changed the MAP, checked for boost leaks, fitted a new diverter valve as the spring has gone weak, fitted a new Lambda sensor and I've just ordered a coolant temp sensor as I have read that this also causes issues. MPG wise the car is NOT doing well. I fill up 30 quid at a time (keeps the weight down) and I used to get 3 days of driving out of that. Now I'm fully filling the tank and I get a day if I'm lucky. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Hi Olly,
that sounds like a fundamental problem,
get it diagnosed properly.., engine fault codes / basic ECU feedback,

Hi Olly,

as said / asked by Charlie and DGPunto, give us the fault code(s) from the ECU if any. Do not have OBD reader and MultiEcuScan ? Tell us where you(re from and maybe a fella will show up to help with his tools...

Regards, Bernie
