Technical GP 1.4 Active Sport - Exhaust Leak Help

Hi Guys,

I've got a huge leak on my GP exhaust, it seems to be coming form some weird mesh type thing, but I've got no idea what it's called? Hoping you guys would have some ideas...

That part of the downpipe is called the flex or flexi pipe.

I've just changed a flexi joint on my diesel hack. The name gives you an idea why it's there..

I'm not going there again. I fitted an off the shelf jobbie & although not difficult, due to old age lack of room under the car, big belly, awkward grinding & lot of fettling, I eventually made the thing fit. All this at the side of the road on car ramps. Personally I think in your case, take your car to an exhaust shop...

Managed to find a shop with the part in stock so I'm booked in to get it done tomorrow. Any idea how much it's gonna set me back?

It's about an hour labour + the part (5-10 euro). shouldn't be much more.
