Could any one shine some light as to why my heaters don't blow warm air out ...well they do after an hour if not longer ?

From cold, start the engine and under the bonnet, feel the top hose and heater hoses. The heater hoses should get warm gradually as the engine warms, the top hose gets some heat conduction, but should suddenly get hot as the stat opens.

If heater hoses not getting warm, you have an airlock. Top heater hose may well have a bleed screw in it, so bleed it.

If that is OK, inside car, head under dash, try to determine if heater is getting hot inside heater box. As the Grande is a sister to the Corsa D, heater box may well be behind the glovebox.
Now, you need to see if the heater controls are moving the flaps. The levers are on the outside of the box, so should be possible to see.

Sometime through this lot, it should become apparent what is wrong.
