2008 Grande Punto 4 door 1.4

Drivers window will go down but not up.
Have checked fuses 47 & 48 near glove box and they are ok.
Have swapped wires over where they connect to motor in door, window then goes up but not down.
None of the relays in the fuse box under the bonnet have any effect at all and all fuses in that box are ok.
Have checked the bunch of wires that go from the body into the door and all looks ok.

Any ideas anyone?

have you lubed the window channels that the glass runs in as sometimes if the window binds it can stop moving

I have this problem too, started occurring after I changed my speakers, I usually pull up the passenger window button at the same time, usually solves it!

However, I think it might be the wiring loom as I caught it when putting the door panel back on, let me know if you get this sorted!

I think GPs suffer from the wires fatiguing where they go between the body and the door. My daughter's had something similar (Passenger side window) and when I took the rubber bellows off and looked inside, there were a couple of snapped wires.

Take the switch apart easy to do, look for the black marks on the contacts like a round grill pattern.
If black marks clean off with some brake cleaner, dry off reassemble and test
Worked on mine.
