Now that its getting cold my GP has a problem with the handbrake - it won't lock in, when I'm pulling the handbrake.
It brakes just fine - i'm able to complete lock both rear wheels.
When I pull the handbrake, I can feel it touching the gear-teeth, but it doesn't lock in. I works when its not freezing,.
I imagine that I have to lubricate some springs and moving metal pieces - and use something that remove water and moisture.
How on earth do I remove the black plastic trim around the handbrake?
On another forum it is suggested that I just pull on the plastic in an upword direction, but when I do that most of center console moves - all the way up to the two cupholders, but nothing seems to come loose. I'm afraid to pull any harder, as it is cold plastic.
