Hello everybody!

I want to know what is the Best and cheaper OBDII Bluetooth Adapter for my Grande Punto 2007. I bought a lot of them but they can't get into Body computer or Airbag, even with obdii Adapter for Body Computer or Airbag.

Any cheap but powerful bluetooth adapter for this?

Thanks in advance!

Bluetooth OBD adapters connect to engine ECU only. EOBD or OBD2, it only covers engine only, as there's no defined standard for accessing other modules, hence specialist software being required.

Only MES or Fiat's Examiner can access BC and Airbag etc through the OBD port.

There is a common issue with cheap ELM327 adaptors were the manufacturers fit a 120 ohm terminating resistor on the CAN connections inside the unit. This is wrong and affects proper operation. It affects the body, ABS, airbag computers more than the engine ECU. If you have a multimeter, measure the resistance between pins 6 and 14 on the interface. if it is less than 200 ohms the unit has a resistor fitted. Removing the resistor may improve the perfomance of the interface. You still need the adaptor leads for some modules. The Fiat "modified" USB interfaces have this resistor removed but it's not so common on Bluetooth ones. Also as mentioned by Brickfoot the generic, non Fiat software does not support addtional modules well, try MES or AlfaOBD.

Hi, Thanks for you reply!
Do you have any link to get the USB modified version? Or the bluetooth module that you can remove the resistor? I have just one ELM327 chinese clone that works with abs, Steering, and engine, with AlfaOBD, but I can't get connection with body computer or blue&me. It is a small blue bluetooth elm327, but I have others and they are even more expensives than this one (First one was 9$ and others the most expensive is about 15-20$) but none of them works, even with AlfaOBD. How I know it? I use bluetooth terminal and manually I setup the codes, but even if I type (AT), the only adapter that says "OK" if the oldest chinese clone, but others says "?" when I type "AT", so it just reads AT MODE 1 (010c, 010d,...) but nothing about ATSP1, ATH, or like that. I have a bunch of mini adaptors clone, and a big one bluetooth, and none of them works.

Thanks in advance!

Two USB ELM interfaces and suppliers I've used are ebay items 161715574389 and 271275445368.
I don't normally recommend wireless interfaces for anything involving changes to the car due to reliability issues, but they are handy for monitioring with a tablet. I've not found a cheap "modified" one but did modify my own. This is not that easy especially if the case is glued together and even when open access to the PCB was poor on the one I have.
