Technical How many mounts are there for the gearbox?

That is the rear engine mounting. It's a 2 pieces: the rod mounting and the support.
Keep in mind there are the left and the right engine mountings too.

I was told to replace a gearbox upper mounting and he specifically said not the engine mounting, seen as though I've already replaced the rod, my obvious guess is the support is what he meant.

The gearbox is fastened to the engine block.

yup this is the upper gearbox mount.

The other one is under and rear the gearbox (gioe's picture)
