Hello dear members!
I have an annoying issue with my 2011 GP (1.2 8v):
My idle randomly pulsing. it sounds like its "suffocating". when I go up the revs a bit - the problem goes away and starting again randomly. it seems to intensify if my AC is on, the lights are going dimmer as the revs drop. it even stalled a few times. I checked the filters and the hoses for leaks and found none of the sort. my next step is to remove the throttle body for cleaning and I wanted to make sure it's well necessary first.
did anyone encounter such a problem?

(we had a pretty bad sandstorm a few months back, let's hope it has nothing to do with it)

I think the throttle body on that engine has the butterfly valve. If it revs then there isn't a problem with that. Just next to it is a cut-out which allow just enough air to pass though to allow it to idle. I think you may have some rubbish in this hole which is causing it to suffocate.

If there isn't a problem with the throttle then I doubt it's an air problem. And could be faulty fuel system.

Could be a dirty butterfly valve, idle valve or bad map sensor.

Define drop. What rpm? Less than 900 and this is normal actually. Higher than 900 and you have alternator problems.
