I have grande punto 1.4 jet black 13 plate.
I have had engine management light on for a few weeks although the car runs perfectly fine.
My local garage sees code P1850.....I need to check that is correct but pretty certain it is. He cant clear it, and I get Check engine warning on dash each time i start it.
I've looked at code and found it maybe a gearbox recognition/position switch.
The blog says its only £20

Any advise before i go to dealership and sell kidney.

Is it a Manual transmision???

You could check the clutch switch. right above the clutch pedal.
you might need a Proxy alignment.

Hi,

My Punto Evo GP has a P1850 error code.

I've checked the sensor on the bottom gear stick and that is working fine, I can't seem to locate any sensors on the gearbox or is it the sensor on the clutch pedal?
