Hi all, dont come on here alot as my car has been pretty bulletproof since I bought it. But now things have changed lol.
Me and my mechanic and another mechanic are at wits end with the car.
I'll start with car specifics
Mjet,mapped quite hard,forge intercooler. 2 1/4 straight through from downpipe and a cone cuz I like the chatter. I did the mods together 5 years ago has been running 180 and 280 since then no problem whatsoever except maf egr. Although at some point I expected to require a new turbo at some point. Which 3 months ago finally went cold engine 3/4 throttle 2nd gear, what a d**k. Its 06 done 100k just but I drive It hard but don't do alot of miles.
So I got my mechanic to put a re-con on it. He got another guy hes got working for him to put it on. Test drove it himself and popped it again so he put it down to not being cleaned out right when fitted (bad job)and put another on it. The turbo company said it was the car though and it was spinning up too fast breaking the shaft. But he believed it was the guy that fitted it and gave it me back. I knew something wasn't right straight away because there is no chatter when you let off not much turbo noise at all off boost and on boost very loud VERY not like it used to sound and it don't come on boost gradually its pretty much on of off. Anyway it went shortly after on me half throttle if that burst a boost hose too. I'm pretty sure its overboosting. Went over it with a toothcomb fitted new egr new overboost valve new map sensor. Fitted another turbo now from another place he knows build good turbos as the other place was new for him he even made another garage fit this one that are meticulous. And its still the same. When I rev it theres very little chatter or noise from the turbo at all even with a cone filter on. Bonnet down you wouldn't think it had a turbo.
I dont know where to go now. All I know I the cars not right still and if I drive it ill be another that600 into it. And I dont know what else to try. Anybody ever heard of anything like this?
Any input would be much appreciated because I'm at a dead end now. Dont want to just keep spending money on things that wont fix it
