On my mate's 1.4 GP, under the front bonnet there's a fuzzy felt thing, and plastered on that is the little panel with the paint code on!

On my 1.2 GP however, there's no such fuzzy felt thingy, and as such there's no code panel. I've checked there, in the boot (there's a metallic panel which is really hard to read, but doesn't have a paint code), on the side of the door (do I really need a sticker there to remind me I'm driving a 1.2?) and in the globe box but I can't seem to find it!

Is there an alternative way I can get my paint code? I've tried an online tool on heres somewhere which seems to have been from an old Fiat site, but it says my Registration number is incorrect.

My Punto is black, I don't know if there's a range of black colours of it there's only one which it could be.

Are you sure the bonnet is the factory one? No previous accident etc?

About the color code check here

Thanks, didn't realise there was A GP specific collection! I'd guess it's Crossover Black, but would be nice not to risk it!

This car does seem to have a bizarre history so I wouldn't put it past it, but where the under bonnet cover is (literally no idea what it's called except that it felt like a felt material) it looks like it's been completely removed, and AFAIK from my colleague's Punto that's where the paint code was attached.

Edit: Picture of the bonnet underside, notice no paint code [emoji106]
