My rear suspension has become very soft. Will this require a change of springs and the shock absorbers. Plus I am tight for finances.

When you say soft, what is it actually doing? Bouncing lots? Any knocking?

Springs are very cheap, may aswell do it while you're there.

ALWAYS replace both sides at the same time (whether it's springs, shocks or both).

A garage should only charge an hours labour to do springs and shocks on the rear, they're very simple on these cars.

I just had a similar problem with my t-jet on eibachs. Shocks were totally worn and as you say it was bouncing a lot.

Got myself some shocks from Shop4Parts for a good price and labour was an hour; £100 job all in.
