Dualogic gearbox stuck in Neutral won't get gears

I've posted before on issue as thought it was sorted with fuse, but it kept blowing fuses, I've put a 100amp in place of the 40amp but nothing now,

the gearbox worked fine before it sat for a month and battery was very low, car is 2008 and only 22000 miles

I've had code read: fault P1773 Hydraulic circuit pressure

taken it to main fiat dealer saying it the pump to the gearbox possibly blowing fuses, cost of £800 but not guarantee.

What would over load the fuse so it blows from the gearbox, as theres no details I can find on the dualogic box:bang:
 
If you let the car warm-up does it then allow you to select a gear?

I've had the "stuck in neutral"/"stuck in gear" problem in the past, but haven't seen it recently <touch wood>. With mine you could hear the car trying to get a gear before the beeps-of-going-nowhere start. I'm convinced my problem was either due to a previous owner's garage using the wrong gearbox/actuator fluid or damp in a circuit as if the car was allowed to warm-up the problem would go away (either reducing the fluid viscosity to correct parameters or evaporating the moisture).

My suspicion is that there are several possible root causes of dualogic gear selection failure, but in most cases it's ultimately it's the car protecting itself if it can't get a "clean" gear within certain parameters of effort/time. But if yours blowing fuses that suggests it's not doing the protection thing.


Dualogic - great the 99.5% of the time it works, but a PITA the 0.5% of the time it decides to play up.

Just what I'm reading either ECU or pump, can't find any detailed pictues of gearbox where parts are to work on.

nobody my area like the thought of touching them apart from the fiat dealership which is quoting over £800 to sort just the pump, but it be something else as well
