Hi guys, I got now a Vl 36 turbo and will be install next days on my t-jet.
Can anyone say what bhp have I expect without remap.

Hi Valdan
Any update about your turbo swap and any remap results?
Here in India remap is available for MJD but not for tJet. It shall be helpful to tjet owners. Here Linea tjet is recently upgraded from 115 to 125 ps power but I am not aware about turbo model. Abarth Punto and Aventura have 145, 140 ps power respectively.
I don't own tjet but would like to go pre-owned way.
There are very few numbers of tjets sold because unfortunately Fiat is sold in less numbers here.

Hi guys

Im new to this forum!
I own a Grande Punto T -Jet 2008 and and im interested in swapping my vl37 with vl36(or vl38).
My ECU is stock. Is remap necessary?

Car's mods:Cold air intake , full exhaust.

Thank you! :)

Hello,

The VL36 is better than the 38 so would go for that personally even though they can be hard to find. I have done the VL36 turbo swap to my t-jet so if you have any questions I can try and help.

Yes, a remap will be necessary to get the best out of the turbo and give you a smooth power delivery.

Thank you both guys!Dyno graph was really helpful!
Do i need to do any other modification like changing intercooler?
What about boost controler?

The tuner can use the OEM boost controller.
A bigger intercooler will be nice to have.. at least for the summer. I am still running the stock one, but that will probably be the next upgrade. It is much hotter in Greece so i would recommend you get one before tuning.

I did not take off the bumper for proper measurements, but from what i have seen/heard/read am intercooler 180mm x 700mm x 63mm should fit...with minimal modifications on my Bravo.. not sure about the GP.

I also have a Ragazzon catless downpipe installed.

hello,
163.6 hp - 182.1lb-ft after remap
EBC discs and yellow stuff pads, braided lines.
Eibach springs and bilstein shocks.

When the exhaust eventually goes, cat back.

It's fun to drive!

I have EBC discs and textar brake pads + eibach sport kit, bilstein shocks too and the car is really funny :)

Aurick86 what about your fuel consumption compared to stock vl37 setup?
Thank you again!:D

Fuel consumption is about the same.. maybe slightly lower in town: because now i usually drive below boost, there is a little lag (the combination of cams and turbo)

Thats really cool consumption for a car nearly 190bhp! I look forward for my new vl36! Thank you for all these useful advices!
