General Radio finds station but no sound. CD is ok

Trying to determine whether the radio is cactus or if its a simple fix. No problems searching and locating radio stations on all bands so I figure the aerial is ok but no sound - just white noise. CD in the unit works fine which tells me the speakers are fine.
Any suggestions? 2008 Fiat Punto
