Driving like a kangaroo

Basically gobbling fuel and driving like a kangaroo. Prior to my owning this car I've been told it's had lots of replica part map sensors runs well for a bit then kangaroo again. Been to fiat software up date. Nothing diagnosed. Been to electrics specialist. Diagnosed timing belt out. Full kit bought. Belt was not out! Phoned electrics guy. He suggested some cars just don't like replica parts. Genuine ordered. Cost a bomb. So far costing nearly as much as this 2006 1.2 was in first place. Gutted as I love everything else about the car. Can anyone help me please 😢😢

I know it might sound daft but have you tried giving it a good blast on the motor way with some injector cleaner we always use it when were going on a run worth a try at around 4.99 a bottle

Hi,
it's common for Grande's to need a Relearn after a cam-belt change..

MultiECUScan can do this

Hi. Sorry. I'm blonde. What is a multiECUScan? It's already been to fiat for update. That was after cam belt change. Also checked the earth wire for a break. Replaced map with a genuine from fiat. My mechanic think it's beyond repair. And I am gutted. Thanks.

OMG, after spending a fortune. It turns out to bt the earth lead. Felt solid to two different mechanics. But Fiat Punto Spares of Doncaster, saved the day by saying this is a common fault. He removed it and it was rotton to the core! New lead and it now feels like a new car! Yippee. I don't know if its allowed but these guys break slavage puntos and sell good parts. I paid 10 for a bosch MAP sensor
