Technical Steering... please help??

When I looked, I seen the 'cassette' you are referring to, and could also see a white ribbon cable around it, but couldn't figure a way to get it out... it seems as though that clicking has stopped, or died down last couple time I've been I've n the car, and everything feels ok and responsive, if anything my steering feels better now!!

Is it safe, in people's opinion, for me to continue driving it?? As I say the noise has stopped now lol so not sure if that's good or bad lol

I'm sure it DOES feel more responsive now!!!

I can't say what the clicking is, I'm afraid, not with any certainty. I'm surprised the airbag light isn't on though. The two failures normally go hand in hand. Does the airbag light come on when you turn the ignition on?

Other than that, not having a horn will be fine, of course, until your next MOT when it should be a failure point. That said, many years ago, I had a car with a hron that didn't work and another vehicle reversed into me, having failed to see me stopped behind them. A working horn might have saved the incident! As for safety, again, I don't think anyone on here will be able to give any guarantees without checking the car over. If in doubt, it would really need to be a GOOD mechanic.

Yeah I'm thinking that, yeah the airbag light is on, but the clicking has ceased now, I think I may just have to take it to a dealership and get it looked at, everything FEELS ok just now, but would rather know my car is SAFE ☺ lol
