I have a '07 GP 1.4 Dynamic with a Blaupunkt HU and Blue and Me.
I bought a dedicated aux lead off eBay, one with the yellow connector.
I removed the HU

It already had a lead fitted where my new one was supposed to go?

I unplugged it and stuck in the new lead

Powered it up and tried to play music from my phone via the headphone jack

Got this message displayed on HU. I pressed CD button twice before trying.
Am I doing something wrong?
I assume the original lead fitted has something to do with playing music from a memory stick?

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated ?

If I plug it in there do you think it'll work then?
I can try it tomorrow. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure if the radio comes with Blue and Me as standard, and you want to use an Aux lead instead, you have to load a USB stick with MP3 files containing silence.
If you have a search on the forum, I think there's quite a few topics to back up my claim!

Yeah thanks, l know there 's a lot of posts already but I just don't see any that relate to my setup.
I've seen loads about the GP without Blue and Me that look straightforward but haven't come across anything similar to mine.
I'm gonna try out what g8rpi suggested earlier, fingers crossed...

I tried fitting the aux lead onto the connection above the fuse as suggested but that has 8 pins whereas my yellow aux lead block only has 6 pins so it won't clip on.
Is there an aux lead available with an 8 pin block ?

Robert G8RPI. I'm going to modify the 6 pin plug on the aux lead so that it will fit onto the 8 pin sector above the fuse and see if that will work ?
I also note that the aux lead with the blue connector which has 8 holes will fit.

Hi,
Thought I'd replied to this but maybe not

On the Blue lead, check that pins C13 (CD bus data) and C15 (CD bus earth) are linked. This tells the head unit that an AUX source is connected.
