Technical Inner tie rod

Hi all

Iv had a look everywhere but there doesn't seem to be a great deal about inner tie rods. There seems to be alot of confusion between the inner tie rods and the track rod ends.

Iv got the track rod end off but I cannot for the life of me find a way to get to the inner rod, i cant get the boot off to get to the rod itself.
iv tried turning the steering to full lock so it will come out towards me but it doesn't come our as far as i would like, so there is minimal room to move around.

Iv done one of these on my mums 04 plate fiesta and it was a piece of p##s compared to what im looking at here.

Any suggestions? Any ideas? I
Anyone have any experience of these? Please let me know, pulling my hair out here

Is just one side jacked up or have you got both sided off the ground... only ask as the tie rod attaches the struts to the anti roll bar and having both wheels off the ground will stop the anti roll bar diverting force from one side to the other. The force created having one wheel still on the ground will make it harder to remove, or pop out, from its mounts

Ahh, thanks for your advice, i have only got one side jacked up yeah! Although iv not got that far yet, im stuck on getting the boot off

Update:
Managed to get it off, turned out to be a piece of p#ss in the end.

Stuck a flat screwdriver in the hole of the clip, took a few minutes to loosen it but it did come free, then i pulled the boot off towards me

As there is very limited access, we went through the bonnet of the car, turned the steering so it was in a decent place to get to and stuck some stilsons on the round bit of the knuckle.
With it being abit to far down to get a good grip, a long bar for leverage is your best mate, one tug for me and it loosened straight away.

Thats the good news

The bad news is...
My tracking is out quite abit although i did count the turns on the TRE!
Also, car is still knocking its cock off.
So im stumped!!!

Got it booked in a garage tomorrow morning to see what they can find when its up on the ramps!
