Hi all
I currently have a 58reg Panda 4x4 and I'm sort of considering a change to a Grande Punto-the one I've seen is a 1.4 16v GP.

Always liked these from when they first came out and have seen loads of nice ones at Stanford Hall and MitCar over the last few years and have sort of decided I'd like to swap the Panda for one.

I've read numerous threads etc on the punto gp and have a good idea what to keep an eye out for but the main one seems to be the issues with the M32 box-does this come with it as it has a 6 speed fitted?
Was the 1.4 16v a less common choice as there seems to be loads of 1.2 and 1.4 8v's around
Is there anything major I should be looking for-its done almost 50k.
Thanks in advance

Hi! I have read a few posts about m32 box and I seen some people having problems.

The 6 speed gearbox on the StarJet 1.4 16v Grande Punto is not the same as the 6 speed the MultiJet 1.9 (M32) or the Abarth GP (M32)

It's actually the classic "C514 6 speed"

T-Jet GP has a different 5 speed gearbox.

thanks for that.
I didn't realise there are 2 1.4 16v engines and this one is the StarJet.
Had a good test drive and look around today-drives a lot better than the panda! Nice driving position, comfy, lots more poke, cheaper tax and should be slightly more economical. Just wished it had aircon tho!
Told them I need to think about it before I commit as I still love the Panda and with winter on the way the 4x4 is very useful but really need something a bit bigger/quicker at moment.

The StarJet is the naturally aspirated 1.4 16v engine with 95hp
and the T-Jet is the turbo version with 120hp (there are some other versions of this engine on EVO / Abarth or Bravo cars but GP has only this 120hp engine)

Try to find a T-Jet GP for a test drive ;)

Air con is a must btw... How are you going to de-mist windows without it ?
